Extended Day Program

With the enthusiastic support of parents, a variety of new after school enrichment classes became available to St. Mary students in the 2009-2010 school year. In addition to Frank Milbury’s indoor golf program and Nicolle Magro’s jazz/hip-hop dance group, alumnus Jesse Cabrera introduced Kempo Karate to primary grade students and table tennis to middle schoolers. The arts were represented as instructor Meridith Langton had K2-grade 2 students pirouetting in ballet classes while Preschool/K2 teacher Meghan Drielak approached drawing classes through the use of a variety of materials and techniques. Students seeking a way to challenge their reasoning skills and enjoying good sportsmanship found their way to Meir Lakhovovsky’s after school chess classes.
